Dr. Samatha Yung's services primarily target adults and seniors, and she specializes in addressing emotional and behavioral issues such as: anxiety; fear; depression; post-traumatic stress reactions; work-related stress; addiction problems; childhood trauma; eating disorders and weight management issues; relationship problems; emotional distress resulting from illness, accidents, or trauma, etc.
In addition to psychotherapy and counselling, Dr. Samatha Yung also offers personal growth consulting services and mindfulness training. She is also available to provide various training programs for organizations and schools..

Dr. Samantha Yung graduated from the University of Hong Kong. She has practiced in different settings, including the Department of Psychiatry, United Christian Hospital, the Department of Health (Elderly Health Services), the Hong Kong Police and a private institute as a clinical psychologist. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults and elderly since she started her clinical practice in 2004. She is particularly experienced in working with adults and providing corporate psychological support.
Samantha is also a certified mindfulness teacher and a registered yoga teacher. She has been practicing mindfulness since 2006 and sharing the practice with others in the past ten years. Samantha is dedicated to sharing the practice and wisdom of mindfulness with others. She believes this is a path of self-discovery, cultivation of well-being, inner peace, compassion and wisdom.
Besides clinical practice, Samantha has served as an honourary clinical supervisor for clinical psychology trainees from both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Other honorary positions of Samantha included Vice-chairlady of the Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society, Program Advisory Committee member for the counselling psychology program of the Lingnan University and counselling program of the Hong Kong Baptist University. Samantha has been invited as guest speaker and mindfulness teacher at different universities, government departments and organizations. She also writes periodically in local newspapers and receives media invitation for expert opinions on different mental health related issues.
Samantha’s professional specialties include the application of mindfulness-based interventions, hypnotherapy and cognitive-behavioural approaches for different mental health issues. She believes psychotherapy is not only for symptom reduction and treatment of disorders, but also a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. With this in mind, Samantha works with her clients on a deeper level and strives for continuous personal development and flourishing.
With over 10 years' experience in corporate training. Her training covers topics such as mental health, mental health first aid, stress management, positive psychology, and basic counselling skills. Samantha is dedicated to the promotion of mindfulness. She provides mindfulness workshops and training to different corporate clients.
